Chilcompton Football Club Under-16s have called for new players to join, as well as detailing their training plans for the upcoming season.

Last season’s Chilcompton FC Under-15s squad played for the first time in the Avon Youth League and took the Division 4 title, as well as reaching the semi-final of the league’s Plate competition.

This coming 2017-18 season, the team will play in the Avon Youth Under-16s League in what will be the lads’ last season in youth football.

The season will be a tough one, in a strong division, but the club hopes for another successful year after completing a couple of new signings.

During the coming season, Chilcompton Football Club plans to integrate this U-16s squad with the new Chilcompton A Team, who have joined the Mid-Somerset League. The aim is to give the players a smooth transition into adult football, through the club’s new junior, and two established senior, squads.

In addition, Chilcompton has strong links to the Paulton Rovers Under-18s team, so there will be opportunities for some players to really progress their football.

The team plan to train twice a week at the club, starting in early August, and then on a hard, flood-lit court in the winter.

If there are any Year 10, 15 to 16 year-old boys who would like to try one last season of youth football, before playing for an adult team, at a progressive and ambitious football club, then please contact Peter on: 0771 3654739, or contact the club directly.
