A star goalkeeping performance by Andy Hannah kept Paulton in with a chance in a poor game.
Evesham hit the only goal after ten minutes, as Lewis Powell laid the ball back for Matt Liddard to strike home.
Hannah pulled off a great save from a Powell header, turning the ball over the bar.
Rovers were better in the second half, although Kyle Knott headed off the line and Hannah saved from substitute, Carl Brown, then Aysa Corrick and tipped away a shot from Adam Mann. Liam Monelle brought a save from Kevin Sawyer in the home goal, before harshly being shown a second yellow to be dismissed, whilst Josh Morgan-Williams and Joe Guest fired over for Paulton.
