EIGHT boys from the Youth Group which meets at The Hive Community Centre in Peasedown St John recently entered the ‘Bridge the Gap’ National Youth Football Tournament - and won it.

Competing against teams from all over the country, the boys played extremely well and were delighted to come home with the trophy. And team member Tiger Cox won the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award.

Through football and authentic relationships, Bridge the Gap Youth aims to create spaces where young people can discover identity, pursue purpose, and explore faith.

Youth leader Nick Blythe said: “I’m so proud of the lads- it was their first time playing football together and they played so well as a team. To come all the way to Oxford and take the trophy home was a brilliant feeling and a memory these boys won’t quickly forget. It was a wonderful achievement.”
