WELTON Rovers kick off the new football season with a home game against Shirehampton in the first division of the Jewson Western Football League on Saturday, August 1 (3p.m.).

Both sides finished just above the relegation zone last season with Shirehampton in 15th spot and Welton 16th.

Radstock Town also avoided the drop after finishing in 17th place, with Keynsham Town, Hengrove Athletic and Cheddar occupying the bottom three places.

Radstock’s opening game of the season is away to Odd Down (Bath) - also on Saturday, August 1. Odd Down finished the 2025-26 season in 12th place.

Devizes Town won the title last season with a four-point lead over second-placed Sturminster Newton United.
