MEADOW Rangers gained a thrilling 4-3 win over Haydon Sports 4-3 in the final of the Mid-Somerset Football League’s Clark Cup at Welton Rovers before an excellent crowd.
Haydon took the lead, then doubled it just before half time. Meadow were awarded a penalty early in the second half reducing the deficit to 2-1.
They then equalised shortly after. Haydon then scored a cracking goal with around 10 minutes left. Meadow drew level with just minutes to spare and then snatched the winner deep into added time.
It was a cracking game played in the right spirit and both teams are a credit to the Mid Somerset League.
