Peasedown Albion gained two points on leaders of the Premier League, Pilton, after beating Bath Villa away 2-0. Getting the goals were Rico Sobers and Olly Davidson.
Meanwhile, table-toppers, Pilton, were dropping a point, drawing 3-3 away to Coleford. Frome Collegians keep up their wining ways, beating in-form Purnell Sports, 7-0. Hitting the net was a hat-trick from Barry Sanquest, Theo Sing (2), Lee Handford and Morgan Marsh.
Victoria, who have been having player problems, after a fixture break travelled to Westhill Sports, where they were stunned by a hat-trick from the home team’s Jordon Rupprich which put them 3-1 down, but with goals from James Travetta, Chanty, Badge and Ben Lantz, they turned the score around to win 3-4. Radstock A lost at home to Westfield Res, 3-4.
In the First Division, Peasedown Albion Res go top of the League with a great result at home, beating Clutton Res 6-5. Scoring for the home team were Sam Pielesz, Haydon Campbell, Harrison Nash, and a hat-trick from Tom Pielesz. High Littleton lost some ground on the leaders, playing out a 0-0 draw away to Wells A.
Chew Magna Res also lost ground on the leaders, drawing 3-3 at home to bottom team, Meadow Rangers. Getting the goals for the home team were Scott Roper,
Connor Maggs and Dan Tweedy. Timsbury Res won at home against Evercreech, 3-0, and Somer Valley – with goals from Paul Dinsdale, John West-Gaul and Fran Moon (Man of the Match) – drew 3-3 away to
Chilcompton Res.
With the top-two in the Second Division not playing League matches, Weston Bath had the chance to close the gap, which they did with a great win at home against Westhill Sports Res, 8-0. Glastonbury Res beat
Farrington at home, 6-1, and Timsbury A, after a battling performance against Stoke at home, conceded a second goal in the last few minutes to lose 0-2. The game was well-controlled by referee, Richard Palmer.
The Third Division saw Peasedown maintain their good run, beating Charlton at home. The visitors, who have been struggling of late due to a lack of players, played the entire match with only ten men. Well done, lads.
Mendip Rangers, after being 2-1 down at home to Evercreech Res, came back with goals from Brad Hefferman (2), Jack Clift and a Daf Roberts hat-trick to win 6-2, to put pressure on the top teams. Meanwhile, Chilcompton United at home beat Westfield A, 1-0. Getting the goal was Ant Horner.
In the Baxter Shield Quarter-Final, Chilcompton A at home took League Two high-riders Belrose all the way, the home team going a goal behind, then scoring two through Jake Curtis to go in front, 2-1. The visitors drew level just before the break, and it stayed that way to the end; the home side losing out 2-3 on penalties.
In the other Quarter-Final, Coleford Res travelled to Salford Res and earned a place in the Semi-Final with a great 1-3 win.
