Peasedown Miners FC have recently been fundraising towards a new tea hut, but decided that they would also like to donate some of the money towards a local good cause, settling on the Swallow cafe in the village.

Swallow is a user led local charity supporting teenagers and young adults with learning disabilities. They rely on donations to be able to continue their work and run a cafe in The Hive, Peasedown St John to enable service users to learn new skills in the world of work and catering. The club, which currently plays in the Uhlsport Somerset Senior Division Two, donated £200 which will be put towards kitchen equipment for the Swallow team.
