Paulton eased to a comfortable win in a well-contested match. Heath had the opening heading, with the lively Sasha Tong heading wide with Rovers responding with Captain, Dale Evans’ free-kick headed narrowly-wide by Ryan Gay.
The visitors nearly took the lead as Jay Malpas set up Sam Jordan to shoot past the post. Paulton keeper, Rob Brown, was alert to stop Tong, then Mark Huxley missed a great chance for the home side.
They were to rue that effort as Rovers went ahead deservedly on the half-hour. Malpas was fouled on the left and Evans floated a free kick that was headed home by Jordan to make it 1-0. Jordan missed a great chance to add to his tally at the start of the second half, then Brown make a superb save from Huxley.
Paulton right-winger, Ben Withey, fired over, and Jack Ball’s shot was deflected for a corner on the hour mark, taken by Evans to find the rising Jordan to head home for 2-0. Despite Rovers’ dominance, Brown made a brilliant late save from Cadbury Heath midfielder, Sam Brown.
