BARNSTAPLE TOWN 2 PAULTON ROVERS 1

Paulton went down at Barnstaple Town on Tuesday evening, in the Southern League Challenge Cup Quarter Final tie. The side were battling on a very heavy pitch, with keeper, George Burton, pulling off several fine saves for the visitors.

Rovers midfielder, Elliott Gibbons, brought a save from Steve Oliver whilst Burton parried a hard drive from James Blake.

Blake opened the scoring, getting on the end of a cross from Liam Gregory after 54 minutes. Then substitute, Scott Sharp, missed a glaring header to increase the lead.

Barum made it 2–0, as Gregory’s corner was headed home by Craig Allen.

In the last minute, Kailan Gould wriggled through and somehow slipped the ball past home keeper, Oliver.
