Paulton Rovers completed their pre-season fixtures with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Cribbs of the Hellenic League; a game hosted by Mangotsfield Utd.

Right from the off, it was clear that new manager Kieran Baggs' philosophy of hard work has been instilled in the team already. The pressing was clear in the first moments and Cribbs were being stifled.

A couple of chances did come early but it was Kitan Jaiyeoba that grabbed the only goal of the game when he cut in from the left and hit an unstoppable low shot into the bottom left corner.

The second half was much the same with Rovers creating more than the opponents although they were unable to fashion another goal.

A number of substitutions were made by both sides giving valuable minutes as the start of the new season approaches on July 26, where Paulton Rovers will play at home against Barnstaple Town in the Jewson Premier League.
