The youth team played their first game for two months due to weather postponements last Thursday, 4th February.
After having a first half goal disallowed, Tim Curtis’ young Paulton side hit two second half goals to beat Bishop Sutton.
Connor Liddeard hit the first after 54 minutes with a powerful drive that got a slight deflection. Harvey Hadrill headed home to second on 72 minutes.
Bishop Sutton responded with a late consolation goal.
Odd Down, who are the visitors to Winterfield Road this Thursday, 11th February, lost 4–2 at home last week to Radstock Town. As a result, Rovers go top of the Somerset Floodlit Youth League Central Division.
The Sunday team play Athletico Bath in the Second round of the Tom Morgan Cup this Sunday, 14th February.
There are two home games for the First Team at Winterfield Road this week against the top two sides.
This Saturday, 13th February Poole Town are the visitors, kick-off at 3 p.m. and then on Tuesday, 16th February Chippenham Town visit, kick-off 7.30 p.m. Both are likely to bring a large supporting crowd, so it would be great for a big Somerset response to our Dorset and Wiltshire rivals!
