After twenty minutes of play and some good saves by Goal Keeper, Joe, Midsomer Norton scored twice playing uphill against the breeze.
Purnell soon replied with good passing down the left wing for Felix to score just before half time.
Following half time team talk, Purnell, playing up the slope, equalised 2–2, Preston scoring following some good passes from Luke and Aaron.
Midsomer Norton soon looked dangerous and despite more excellent defending by Luke, Max and Aaron S.,they managed to find the net, 3-2. Purnell soon replied with a well worked sequence to level it 3–3, with Felix scoring again.
After a well taken goal kick by Aaron S, finding Aaron E., then crossing to Jakob to break through Midsomer Norton’s defence, Purnell gained a 4–3 advantage.
Midsomer Norton then piled on the pressure, but Purnell stayed strong in defence. Credit goes to both teams for a highly sporting competitive match.
