The featured game of the day was the Paulton Hospital Cup game between Peasedown Albion and Westfield Reserves.

Westfield continued to take the game to the home team throughout the first half, and could have been out of sight for the visitors, had it not been for the heroics of Peasedown keeper, Guy Paddock.

The visitors went in front after twenty minutes through Sam Gregory, then, after several other good chances, they increased their lead through Freddie Lines, with the ball skidding under Paddock.

Mat Seviour, Peasedown’s Manager, had to make changes as his midfield were being outrun and outmuscled in the first half, these changes made all the difference in the second half, with the home side looking a lot more solid.

The half had only just begun when a great header from Peasesdown’s Hayden Campbell gave the goalkeeper no chance.

Westfield’s three quick forwards were always causing the home defence problems, and it was no surprise when they got back their two-goal advantage, with Freddie Lines scoring from a well-taken free kick.

It was somewhat of a surprise when the visitors decided to take off their forwards. This gave the home team chances to get forward more, with Kris Seviour reducing the arrears mid-way through the half.

The home side now had their tails up, equalising through Scott Baker with ten minutes to go, with Kris Seviour getting his second and what proved to be the winner, with two minutes left on the watch.

There was still time for another attack by the visitors, which resulted in a strong shout for a penalty as their centre-half appeared to be tripped. The referee, who was in a good position, waved the protests away. This was a great Cup tie, with the final score at 4–3.

In the Premier League, top team Coleford scored six without reply away to Interhound. Second placed team, Frome Collegians, won at home 7–2 against Welton Arsenal and Radstock A had a good home win against Mells, 4–3.
