Local rivals, Peasedown Athletic and Timsbury Athletic, shared the spoils in their latest clash. The home side went in one up at the interval, but Timsbury produced arguably their best football of the season in the second half and the equaliser after 77 minutes was the least they deserved.

Peasedown had the first meaningful chance of the game, but Kris Seviour’s header was blocked on the line. The breakthrough came when Peasedown were awarded a free-kick wide on the left. Ricky Bush’s clever kick evaded everyone, including Timsbury keeper, Ben Paisey and finished in the back of the net. At the other end, home custodian, Chris Allard, did well to deny the busy Jimmy Hailston, but Peasedown had a great chance to double their advantage when Aaron Price shot over with the goal at his mercy. A further effort from joint leading scorer, Ryan Parsons, was then comfortably held by Paisey.

Early in the second half, another shot from Parsons was deflected for a fruitless corner while a superb ball from Callum Taylor found Hailston who was dispossessed as he moved in on goal. Timsbury Manager, Dom Eatherden, then brought on substitutes, Joe Parker and Gary Pearcy, and they both made an early impact on the game, combining well to put Hailston clear only for Allard to produce another timely save. Price and Adam Holcombe then manufactured a clear opening for the home side, forcing Paisey to save well at the near post. It was Timsbury who were now dominating the play and another excellent cross from Parker saw Hailston shooting over the top, an outcome suffered soon after by Hancock.

The equaliser, when it came, was worth waiting for. Ben Hancock, making his 200th first team appearance for the club, crossed from the right and Ellis Hancock capped an outstanding match by firing an unstoppable shot past Allard. Ford Fuel Oils Man of the Match: Ellis Hancock (Timsbury Athletic).
