Paulton Rovers’ Under-18s took on Glastonbury at the Abbey Moor Stadium last Tuesday night. Paulton started the game well, and were attacking
effectively down the right wing through Lucas Conelly and Jake Curtis.
However, it was Lucas Hawkins who found himself through on goal first, doing very well to hold off the Glastonbury centre back before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper.
It wasn’t long until Paulton found the second, this time with Ali Sen finishing well from close-range after a great cross from the right.
The second half began, and the home side came out fighting, starting to move the ball well, and found themselves taking the upper hand. Their efforts were soon rewarded with a goal after some good build-up play.
The Paulton players reacted well and the game started to become more competitive. Tyler Lane was finding himself in a lot of space and created the next two opportunities for Ali and Lucas, who both finished well to get their second goals. Paulton still had time for one more before the end of the game, which came from Oakley Rawlings.
Man of the Match: Luke Seviour, Paulton Rovers U-18s.
Josh Hurst
