Paulton had most of the chances early on, with Ben Withey and Camen Harvey having crosses cleared. Dale Evans’ corner in the ninth minute was met by Jack Ball, who smashed it into the top right-hand corner.

Two minutes later, Ben Withey found a rising Jack Ball pass to make it 2-0.

Paulton then had some missed chances, with two corners being missed and two shots were either wide or saved by the Bridgwater goalie.

Ben Withey then made it 3-0 with a left-footed strike into the top right-hand corner.

In the second half, Bridgwater started the better side, as keeper, Rob Brown, was tested quite a few times – even saving a shot with his leg.

Bridgwater in the end got their consolation goal through a penalty, going just past a diving Rob Brown.

Paulton looked to carry this momentum through to Tuesday, when they played Cadbury Heath.
