WELTON Rovers will have been disappointed to have lost 1-0 away to Shirehampton in the first division of the Jewson Western Football League in midweek.
Rovers went into the game having won 3-2 at home to AEK Boco the previous Saturday, a result which left them two points clear of the relegation zone.
Hengrove Athletic produced one of their best displays of the season to beat AEK Boco 3-0 at home - although they were unable to improve on their position at the bottom of the table.
However, Devizes Town regained top spot when they beat Bristol Telephones 1-0 at home - going above Sturminster Newton by one point, but having played one more match than their title rivals.
Results for Tuesday, March 24: Almondsbury 2, Mendip Broadwalk 3; Odd Down 1, Cadbury Heath 4; AEK Boco 0, Hengrove Athletic 3; Devizes Town 1, Bristol Telephones 0; Shirehampton 1, Welton Rovers O.
