My report last week gave the results of the Pro Shop stableford played on the Saturday.

However, a further 33 entrants took part on the Sunday and when the two days were combined the overall winner was young Connie Cox with a great 41 points beating on count back John Ollerton and Jeremy Lawrence who both scored 41 as well. Well done Connie.

Nearest the Pin was won by Gareth Collier with Pete Kivi second and Will Simmons 3rd.

50 Mendip Ladies took part in the 9 hole singles stableford. Division 1 went to Jenny Merrett with 20 points, Edwina Willis was second with 19 and Lynne Vowles was third with 18 after count back. Division 2 was won by Dee Garnsworthy with 19 point on count back from Joan Clark with Lillian Peel third with 18 points again after count back. Division 3 saw the best score of the day with Sally Humphries winning with 21 points, June Page was second with 18 and Sue Needham was third with 17 after count back.

An excellent turnout of 24 couples took part in the January Mixed Social Golf event. Winning with 44 points were Tony Logan and Suzy Rudkin with the husband and wife team of Tony and Louise Scott just a shot behind. After the event all the competitors sat down to an excellent roast lunch prepared by Jess and her Clubhouse Team.
