Each year, the Ladies and the Senior Men’s Sections at Farrington Park Golf Club take on the challenge of playing against each other for the Sherborne Shield.

The current holders of the Shield are the Ladies. This is a matchplay competition, with eighteen holes played on the nine hole Manor Course. This year, nine pairs per side battled for their respective team and the result was some close scores and very competitive golf from all of the players.

Three matches were decided by a score of one up to the winning team and until the last match finished, the score was four games apiece. However, the Senior Men were victorious in the last match, much to the Ladies’ disappointment, and the Seniors regained the Shield by a score of 5–4.
