“I don’t believe it!” There was something seriously awry. It was definitely a Wednesday, but hang on; no rain, no clouds – the sky was blue and there was something strange in the sky. Was Victor Meldrew lurking in the shadows?
It was unquestionably the hottest day of the year (not difficult). How we have waited for this moment – we believed we would never see the likes of it again. We even considered changing our golf day to a Thursday, but the Ladies would not have been too impressed with that! Here’s to a long, hot, enjoyable summer season. Cheers!

Friendly Match results: Farrington Park won 6.5-0.5 at home to the Isle of Wedmore. Drew 3.5 each away to The Kendleshire. Lost 5.5-1.5 away to Clevedon.
The last week’s golf before the white tees return, with better weather at last arriving. There was good scoring in the Men’s Division One from Steve Coles on 39 points, topping the division with Andy Killey a close-second on 36 points and Lee Bruton taking third on 35 points. In Division Two, it was Chris Clegg topping the division on 39 points, with Eric Reddy second on 36 points and Charlie Holmes a close-third on 35 points.
A good weekend’s golf for Lee Bruton, taking control of Division One on forty points, with Steve Coles enjoying a second good day on 39 points and Jamie Lake third on 37 points. Andrew Robinson continued his good form in Division Two on 38 points, and Bruce Palmer very close in second on 37 points, with Simon Park third on 32 points.
