Senior Captain, Rick Clark, had a beautiful morning for his Captain’s Day, ably supported by more than eighty members.
All of the tees were in use at some stage during the eighteen holes played. Variations of one score, two scores or all three to count kept the players on their toes, continually checking the instruction sheet issued to every member!
Spot prizes on all of the Par-threes and Nearest the Pin in two on five holes ensured a good spread of prizes for everyone (of the bottle-shaped variety, obviously). Checking the scorecards took a bit of time, but the sun was shining and the bar was open, so there was no hurry! Well done, Rick, on a well-organised day – thoroughly enjoyable and appreciated by all who took part.
Results: In first place was Jim Lunt, Steve Brixey and Dave Cross with 102 points. In second was Graham Bradley, Rob Chappell and Richard Collier with 101 points. In third was Tony Waldron, Phil Bryant and John Holland with 100 points.
