On a windy, wet day and the majority of senior golfers selecting to stay indoors, it was left to the thirty or so hardy souls to venture out and play the course.
Playing a non-qualifying Stableford over thirteen holes the scoring was perfectly acceptable. Let’s all hope for a change in the weather – the last few weeks have been pretty dismal.

Ladies
Farrington Park Ladies Day is held on Thursdays and this winter, Thursdays have seen the worst of the weather; the cold, crisp, dry sunny morning on Thursday, 28th January was very welcomed by the 35 ladies who took part in the one score to count Ghost Bowmaker.
The best score of the three lady team was added to the ghost’s score of two points per hole. The scoring on the thirteen holes that were open was very close. The winning team of Sharman Bradshaw, Margaret Seery and Lo Dallocco came in with sixty points. The second team of Terri O’Shea, Sandra Hares and Maureen Charlton (whose card used from her team was used as a ghost card) had 59 points, third were Pauline Young, Maureen Charlton and Sue Stilwell, with 56 points and fourth were Bridget Rylance, Jenny Howarth and Kay Clark with 55 points on countback.
