Farrington Park’s Josh Hilleard, is included in an England line-up of high-fliers for the European Men’s team championship in Austria next month.

Josh’s French Open title secured his place in the six man team. He will be joined by 2017 British Amateur Champion, Harry Ellis, 2016 British Amateur Champion, Scott Gregory, St Andrew’s Links Trophy winner, Matthew Jordan, Welsh open champion, Gian-Marco Petrozzi and 2016 Lytham Trophy winner, Alfie Plant. The championship will be played at the Diamond Country Club from 11th – 15th July. England have been European champions eleven times, most recently in 2013.

Josh’s selection capped off a great week as the plus four handicapper finished second in the British Open qualifier at Remedy Oak in Dorset, with a stunning four under par 68. He will play the final qualifier at Royal Cinque Ports in two weeks’ time, with the chance of gaining a place in The Open at Royal Birkdale. All at Farrington Park wish him the best of luck.
