THE Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club gained revenge for a defeat at Henstridge with a 4.5-1.5 victory.
Leading the way was captain Frank Dance and Chris Appleton. Also victorious were Noel Chatfield/ Mike Ricketts, Cyril Blacker/Alan Jones and Steve Brixey/Rob Wells. Paul Trigg and Mike Weeks halved their match.
The final society day of the season saw members of the club visit Orchardleigh. Pauline Brixey and John Bendle both recorded excellent Stableford scores of 42 points with Brixey gaining first place on countback. Wells finished third with 40 points. Phil Winsley won the prize for the longest drive while Chris Champion was nearest the pin. Champion, Bendle and Pauline Brixey all achieved a two and shared the pot.
The Bogey competition at Fosseway for the Eric James Cup caused a lot of problems and unusually no player finished with a positive result. The winner was Chatfield with -2, followed by Wells on countback from Shaun Goodwin.
