Rain ruined the October medal event in the Seniors’ section of Fosseway Golf Club, but nine brave souls ignored heavy rain to finish their round.
Pat Cray came in first with a nett score of 67, followed by Bill Lester with 72 and Nick Foxwell with a nett 78.
The Winter League competition is beginning to take shape, with several groups reaching a conclusion. In Pool One, Malcolm Tucker is assured of top place after three straight wins, while Cyril Blacker is runner-up with three wins and one defeat. Pool Two is still up for grabs, with Graham Edgell, Pat Cray, Gerry Rowell and Frank Reeves all in with a shout.
Mike Ricketts has topped Pool Three with three straight wins, with Brian Phelps second with two wins and one defeat. Terry Button is through to the quarter-finals in Pool Four, but the last place is still to be decided.
