Two new members of the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club made an early impact when the club held its April medal.
Alan Vowell was second with a nett-65, and Ivan Love was third with 66, but they were unable to catch Barry Dugmore, who was a clear winner with a nett-62.
The Seniors made the long trip to Minchinhampton Common for their third social match of the season, but were beaten 4.5-1.5. The only victory came from the pairing of Cyril Blacker and Malcolm Tucker, who won 3&2, while Allen Cheney and Doug Lane achieved a half.
Captain, Gerry Rowell and Mike Weeks were beaten 5&3; Martyn Cuer and Nick Foxwell lost 3&1; Graham Edgell and Brian Phelps went down 6&4 and Alan White and Brian Woodruff finished two-down.
