Alan White was on fine form for the December medal in the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club, winning the event with a nett score of 62 . His gross score of 76 was the best by five shots. In second place came Graham Edgell with a gross 81 (nett 64) followed in third place by Nick Foxwell with a gross 89 (nett 65).
The winter weather has held up the quarter-finals of the Guerwyn Thomas Trophy and three of the pairings are now through to the semi-finals. Cyril Blacker and Brian Phelps gained an automatic place having been the top qualifiers and have been joined by Howard Nowell and Richard Sullivan who beat Alan Jones and Reg Curtis - seven and five - and Alan White and Martyn Cuer who defeated Mike Ricketts and George Thurston - four and three. In the remaining tie Chris Appleton and George Underwood will face Mike Weeks and Nick Foxwell.
Members are reminded that the Seniors AGM will take place after the January medal on January 19th.
