There was a close finish to the Ted Cottle Trophy event in the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club but Mike Ricketts claimed the honour with 39 points.

One point behind in the Over 70s Stableford came Malcolm Tucker. Rex Wyatt and Alan Jones both scored 36 points with Wyatt placed third after countback.

Martyn Cuer was the star of the May Medal recording an excellent nett score of 63 in the most difficult of conditions. Competition Secretary Chris Appleton and Cyril Blacker both came home with nett scores of 66 with Appleton benefitting from countback to take second place.

Members of the seniors were sad to hear of the death of Breda Bendle, the wife of popular Seniors’ member John and send their condolences to the family. It is hoped to soon see him back on the golf course.
