Wells Ladies Alliance team had the first match of the season at home to Lansdown. The team lost 9-5 with Cath Levell and Katrina Foote winning their matches and Erica Klim halving her match.

The April medal saw 15 ladies taking part, with Cath Levell winning on countback and also taking the associated Queen Mother's Shield.

Thirty Wells ladies enjoyed an away day at Mendip Spring, organised by the ladies’ captain. The weather was fair and the competition was hotly contested. The winning team, pictured below, were Jane Tucker, ladies’ captain Gwyn Macdonald, Deb Ramsell and soon-to-be Wells member Keri Laughran.

The Mixed team travelled to Mendip Springs and were ‘rinsed’ by the home team but congrats to Janice White and Guy Timson for salvaging a point in a 4-1 defeat.

Wells Seniors had a bad day at the office as well, entertaining Mendip GC who now have the local bragging rights until August (at least) after a 5-1 away win. Well done to Steve Dent and Dave Couzens.

Clive Fowler won club night with a 12 hole score of 27 points, closely followed by Sienna Elliott and Paul Lewer on 26 – Neil Kite now leads the season standings with 14 points.
