Despite January being every bit as wet as the previous months, fifty-three Members played in the Pro-Shop Singles Stableford.
Very competitive scoring saw the top five covered by a single point.
John Ellis was the winner with 35 points after count back from Danny Middle and Jack Hayes.
Duncan Offer was fourth with 34 points, beating Phil Leadbeater on count back.
The Pro Shop, Nearest the Pin, was also won by John Ellis with Mark George coming in second and Craig Richardson third.
The Seniors held their first competition of 2020 with a Three Clubs and a Putter Singles event. Despite the lack of Clubs and the fact that the event was played in a three club stiff westerly wind, the scoring was not a lot different to events where full sets are used!
Division One was won by Andy Frampton with 40 points, Alan O’Leary coming in second with 39 and Selwyn Rees landing third with 37.
Division Two went to Andy Parfitt with 34 points, beating Steve Turner with 34, and John Treeby with 33.
The Veteran’s Prize went to Dick Ransley with 30 points and Peter Rumming saw second with 28, Derek Strudwick was third with 27.
There were only two x two winning spots. The lucky and skilful players got £34 each.
