The Seniors’ section of Fosseway Golf Club have managed to fit in two more competitions, despite the problems caused by the constant rain.
Thanks once again go to George Bidmead and the other members of the groundstaff, who have worked hard to make some play possible.
Martyn Cuer and Seniors’ Captain, Gerry Rowell, dominated the Bill Lester Texas Scramble with an outstanding nett score of 45. Four shots behind came General Secretary, Alan Jones, and his partner, Frank Reeves, with Pat Cray and Bert Austin third with a nett 50.
Competition Secretary, Doug Lane, was an even more emphatic winner of the Colin Eaton Three Club competition. His nett score of 54 saw him five shots clear of second placed Graham Edgell.
Paul Davies was a further shot behind with a nett 60, which was even more impressive, as he had a ten on the first hole.
