Wells Golf Club held its annual Charity Day when forty teams enjoyed glorious weather whilst competing in a Fourball Bowmaker.
The winning team, with 96 points, were Mick Currell, Andy Marshall, Andy’s grandson, James Marshall, and Bob Clark. Runners-up in this category were Dietrich Martini, David Flinders, William McKay and Pete Bartholomew.
In the non-handicap category, the winning team, with 97 points, were Nick Oliver, Tim Hector, Ollie Jenkins and Andy Colyer. The golf was followed by an auction of various lots and this contributed to a total of £8,500 being raised on the day.
