The Ladies playing in the May Stableford found the going tough! The Silver Division winner was Erica Klim on 28pts. The Bronze Division winner was Linda Wright with 32pts, followed by Sue Slade with 29 pts (on count back).

In the Copper Division Kathy Orme came first with 30pts, followed closely by Maureen Bailey on 29pts.

Linda Wright is the SLCGA Barlow Winner and will go on to represent the club. Christine Jukes is the SLCGA Grassroots Winner.

A Junior competition resulted in Lowen Stephens, on a handicap of 16, winning with a brilliant 40 points. In second place was Amber Adams with 36 points. In the Junior Stableford competition Freddie Lovell playing off 10 came in with 44 points followed by Henry Lewer with 41 points.

The Ladies Section has been in full swing this week.

The Ladies Ping 4BBB Winners were Christine Jukes & Sue Garrett with 42 points. The Runners up were Marilyn Cole & Lindsey Sloman also 42 points, losing on countback.

Philippa Gowen & Linda Wright won the Coronation Foursomes and they qualify to go through to a regional final.

The new Mixed Ping 4BBB was a close contest with 3 teams on 40 points. Winners on the back 9 were Veronica & Peter Cherry. 2nd were Jill & Steve Bocquet just edging out Tina Davies & Tim Taylor.

The South West Australian Spoons Foursomes winners were Kathy Lane & Linda Wright with 35 points.

The Karen Nicholls Foursomes winners: Best Gross: Jill Bocquet & Cath level gross 96, Best nett: Linda Wright & Kathy Lane with nett 75.

Sandy Heath & Diane Ramsay won their first round match in the County SLCGA Centenary Plate against Farrington playing at Minehead. They go through to the second round to play Bath at Saltford.

The Interclub League team won their match against Taunton and Pickeridge in fine style. The match was played in good spirit with all the players pleased to be playing matches again and also to have the opportunity to socialise in the clubhouse afterwards while we ate our delicious sandwiches and cake.

The result was a resounding win for Wells 5 - 2. Well done to Glynis Slater, Tina Davies, Jill Bocquet, Janice White and Katrina Foote, who all won their matches.
