In the Men’s Stableford competition, Day One, Guy Timson showed the way round with a creditable 34 points on 95% handicap, followed by David Cunningham and Neil Blake, all on countback. The Day Two winner was Trev Jones, with 36 points.

The Ladies had an amazing turnout for their first Tuesday roll-up in brilliant sunshine. Thirty-three ladies turned out and the Ladies’ Captain provided the Easter chocolate to egg them on.

The Ladies section is growing at Wells, and with our new England Golf ‘Women in Golf’ initiative this year we hope to encourage more ladies and girls to join. This spring we have a number of free taster sessions for ladies, juniors and families; check out our website for more details.

Everyone has admired all the improvements to the course including reconfigured bunkers and new paths made by our amazing Greens Team. The volunteer marshals are sure the golf will soon match the course, after watching some interesting tee shots off the first.
