Wells’ Ladies took part in their final competition of 2021 on Sunday – the Chicken Chase!

The golf course looked majestic in the autumn sunshine and the greens were still in superb condition.

Twenty-four ladies took part in teams of three playing a step aside scramble. There were some eggcellent team scores and eggceptional putting on the 15th green from Jan Hayward and Diane Ramsay. Like the chicken, some of the balls played were rather free range and a few flew off the fairways but great fun was had by all players.

The winning team with a nett 71 were Jackie Clark, Linda Wright and Cath Levell.

Prizes up for grabs in this prestigious annual event were Brussel sprouts, stuffing, red currant sauce and chocolate! Guy Timson
