We are indeed privileged to live in the South West of England, the most popular region in the country.
Sixty nine competitors took part in the Reverse Tennessee Waltz competition and the result could not have been closer. The top four teams all came in with 82 points and could only be separated on countback. The winning team having a better back six holes with 29 points than the runners up with 26 points. We can only rue the missed short putts and duffed chip shots.
First place came Jim Lunt, Bob Baker, Kirk Bizley 82,
Second place was Tony Clement, Tony Waldron, Steve Park 82,
In third place was Rob Thain, Roger Stone, Phil Bryant 82,
Fourth place was Phil Toogood, Geoff Clare, Mark Greenman 82,
Fifth place Barry Hall, Steve Symonds, Dave Perrett 80,
Sixth place went to MarkHowell, Philip Baker, Andrew Roper 78.
In the Senior’s Somerset Bowl Farrington Park defeated a strong team from Oake Manor, three matches to two and now play the 2021 winners Brean on our home patch.
In the friendly matches we defeated Knowle in a close match 4.5 to 2.5 at Farrington Park.
