Mendip’s First team secured a valuable away point on Saturday, away to Old Bristolians.
An excellent second-half goal from Megan Carey gave Mendip the lead, and some outstanding goalkeeping from Player of the Match, Leanne Chapman, kept the visitors ahead until the sixtieth minute.
Old B’s took advantage of a free hit to score a late equaliser, and the points were shared. This weekend sees Mendip in action twice, with Taw Valley visiting Chew Valley on Saturday (1.30 p.m.) and Weston-super-Mare providing the opposition on Sunday (12 noon).
Mendip Seconds gave their League position and goal difference a boost on Saturday with a comfortable victory over Jaspers at Chew Valley.
Goals came from Connie Glover (2), Abbie Sage, Eva Holliwell and Amy McGowan, with keeper, Katie Selway, earning the Star Player award for a string of excellent saves.
