Paulton Rovers Under-18's side had their presentation night on Saturday, 31st May.
Manager, Lorne Wilkinson, thanked his Assistant, Paul Edwards, and Coach, Brian Smith, and summarised the season as good in parts. Despite finishing third in the Somerset Floodlit Youth League North Division, he felt the squad had been good enough to win the division, but for a number of injuries.
No fewer than nine Paulton Rovers players had been selected in the Somerset Youth squad and they had been Captained by Dane Edwards. The down side is that many of the team have reached eighteen and will now move on. He expressed the desire that after gaining experience at senior level, a number would return to play for Rovers in the Southern League in years to come.
Before handing out the awards, Football Chairman, Dave Bissex, thanked the management team and the lads for what he thought had been a good season for the club at youth level. He then went on to present: Players' Player of the Year, Jack Francis, Top Goalscorer, Connor Davies, Manager's Player, Jack Francis, Clubman of the Year, Ryan Ness, and Most Improved Player, Nathan Beauchamp. Each player who was leaving having reached eighteen was given a medal as a memento.
