On Wednesday 12th July, Midsomer Norton Rugby Club was privileged to welcome Bath Rugby Community Coach, Tom Page, to deliver a skills session to the newly-launched Ladies Social Team.

Tom brought a myriad of skills drills to the session, allowing players to develop and hone their sporting abilities, with a heightened air of competitive rivalry whilst maintaining the fun ethos at the heart of the team.

Team Manager Andy Townhill stated “In just two months since launching the new social team, it has been fantastic to see the numbers steadily grow with new faces joining week on week. I believe this is testament to the wonderfully warm and encouraging culture at the club - simply passionate about introducing as many as possible to the sport and nurturing skills at every level.

“It was great to see the ladies team engaging with so much enjoyment and we look forward to welcoming Tom back again in the not too distant future.”

The club received overwhelmingly positive feedback from all the players stating it was “a fab session” and “the session was great fun”; a positive move forward for the ladies team allowing for a close working relationship moving forward with Bath Rugby.

Interested players are welcome to join, whether completely new or looking to get back into the sport, with free sessions held every Wednesday at Midsomer Norton Rugby Club between 6.30pm and 8pm.
