For the second year running, Andy Stock was voted Player of the Year when the Radstock and District Billiards and Snooker League held its presentation dinner at the New Inn, Farmborough.
He won both the Division One Snooker Singles and the Pairs title with Michael White. For the first time, there were also Divisional Player of the Year awards, with Darren Willmott claiming the Division Two accolade and Tony Smallwood, who had an outstanding season, the Division Three trophy.
Clandown retained the Billiards League title with Marksbury runners-up. Clapton B, who were runners-up in the Cup competition in 2016, went one better, beating Timsbury A in the final.
Clutton D regained the Division One snooker title, with Clandown A runners-up.Writhlington A were runaway winners of Division Two, with Haydon W in second place. In Division Three, there was a close finish to the season with all three Timsbury teams in contention in the final week of the season.
The H team eventually claimed the title, with the C team in second place. The Snooker Knockout Cup was won by Marksbury B, with Clapton D runners-up. Writhlington A capped a top season, winning the Snooker Plate with Clapton C the beaten finalists. Lee Jorden achieved the highest snooker break of the season, with an excellent 103.
