CARNVALE Tennis Club marked an exciting milestone on Tuesday, 4 November, with the official switch-on of its new LED floodlights.

The lights were formally commissioned by Councillor Liz Hardman, Chair of Bath and North East Somerset Council, alongside Club Chair, Jenny Theed.

Members, sponsors, trustees, and friends of the club gathered to celebrate the occasion with drinks, canapés, and warm conversation. The installation marks the culmination of a six-month fundraising campaign, enabling the club to transition to modern, energy-efficient lighting that will enhance evening play throughout the year.

Club Chair Jenny Theed expressed her gratitude to all those who supported the project: “This achievement represents a real community effort. We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and generosity to make these new lights a reality.”

The new floodlights will allow for greater flexibility in court usage and create new opportunities for both competitive and social tennis.
