On Saturday, November 8 we held another successful coffee and cake morning in support of the church funds. The event was an opportunity to bring the community together, and it was great to see so many of you and chat with you all.

On December 6, between 12pm and 2pm, our own band, Uniformity, will be performing Christmas music and carols. There will be coffee and tea available from 11.30am, and during the interval there will be refreshments, including rolls filled with pigs in blankets or chicken, with vegetarian options available.

We will also have a craft and nearly-new stall, and a raffle.

Westfield Council will have switched on the Christmas lights, and you’ll already be feeling Christmassy. So, if you are free, come along and join in with this event – we’d love to see you.

On Saturday, November 29, from 10am to 4pm. and on Sunday, November 30, from 11.30am to 3.30pm, in St John’s Church, Midsomer Norton, there will be a Crib Festival.

An Advent carol service will then be held at 4pm.

There was no Service at Tabor on Remembrance Sunday as Members joined with St Mary’s Church for the village Remembrance Service.

The Tabor Ringers entertained the residents at Combe Lea in Midsomer Norton where they are always given a very warm welcome. The Ringers have a very busy few weeks ahead of them; they are booked out every week and on one of those days they are playing in Timsbury in the morning and Coleford in the afternoon.

All are welcome at any of our Services or events, details of which are on the noticeboard outside of the Church in North Road Timsbury.

Good day everyone. I am sorry that I have not been in touch for a few weeks, but I had a fall and spent some time in hospital.

Life at Norton Down has been progressing well with services and coffee mornings.

This coming week, we have coffee, tea and biscuits on Wednesday, commencing at 10.30am for an hour.

On Sunday, December 7, our worship service, which also begins at 10.30am, is open to all. Please come and join us — you will receive a warm welcome.
