A LOCAL couple have celebrated their diamond anniversary this year with a family cruise to Norway.

David and Margaret Sherborne got married on September 4, 1965 at St Nicholas Church in Radstock.

Mr Sherborne worked for Purnells in Paulton for many years before being made redundant, where he then became a well known wedding and family photographer.

He also worked in association with the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Journal from its fourth issue until his retirement in 2019.

Mrs Sherborne was the proprietor of The Cottage Shop in Paulton for several years, before doing estate agency and banking work locally until her retirement in 2017.

The couple say the secret of a long and happy life together is a good sense of humour and a shared love of adventure.
