Congratulations to Daisy Bear and friends, Tony Welch, Nigel Marshall, Andrew Stammers and Bryce Collishaw, who have raised over £900 for Brain Tumour Research by walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall. There were some very sore legs and feet, but they did an amazing job!

The team are continuing inspirational teen, Emma Welch’s fundraising in her memory. Daisy Bear was the idea of Emma’s friend, Victoria Roberts, who is currently encouraging everyone to crochet daisies to be sold for the charity, as Daisy was Emma’s middle name.

On Saturday, 4th June, in tribute to Emma, there will be a World Record attempt at Bath’s Forum for the most people crocheting simulataneously. 117 people are registered so far, but the total needed is 485. It will only take around an hour of your time. If you would like to join them, visit: www.eventbrite.co.uk and search for crocheting world record attempt.

To donate to the Hadrian’s Wall team, you can visit: www.justgiving.com/Daisy-Bear or find Daisy Bear via Facebook for the crochet details.

Inspired by family friend, Andrew Stammers, Emma raised more than £13,000 in her lifetime with her record-breaking attempts, despite being in pain herself with scoliosis.
