A NEW alternative learning environment will be opening its doors to children in the Midsomer Norton area.
Named The Universal Farm, it is run by the team at Free Rangers Forest School Nursery on a 30-acre site at The Mill Barn in Millards Hill.
Launching this September, The Universal Farm will offer a three-day-a-week provision designed for families seeking an educational alternative. It will feature a strong focus on a connection with nature, project-based learning, and democratic, collaborative approaches.
Founder Charlotte Lucas said: “The Universal Farm will provide the alternative so many families are looking for
“We’re leaning into collaborative, creative and project-based learning that harnesses children’s inbuilt desire to understand themselves and the world around them. This isn’t a step back from education; it’s a bold step forward.”
