Pupils and staff at St John’s School and Next Steps Nursery celebrated the Royal Wedding in style recently, with everyone dressing either as a wedding guest or with a patriotic theme in mind!

A giant ‘street party’ was held on the playground at lunchtime, with themed activities being enjoyed throughout the day, including the decoration of biscuits and making Union Jack flags to wave enthusiastically during the wedding.

Children at Next Steps Nursery had been celebrating all week with everyone wearing red, white and blue every day. The highlight was a very regal cream tea on Friday, complete with scones and strawberries.
