Shoscombe School have been busy over the past week putting on a range of outdoor festive performances. The Church School were determined not to let Covid stop the Christmas shows.

The youngest children performed a nativity, Years 1 and 2 put on performances of the Ugly Ducking, and the oldest children hosted a carol service.

Headteacher, Ruth Noall, said: “The school playground has been decked out with lights all week and everyone has been

wrapping up warm!

“The youngest children in the school launched our Christmas celebrations last week with a truly magical nativity performance. We were lucky with the weather and were able to perform live to our outside audience, creating some wonderful Christmas

memories for children, staff and parents.

“Parents also really enjoyed watching their children in two performances of The Ugly Duckling and taking part in some yuletide carol services to get us all into the Christmas spirit.”

Headteacher, Ruth Noall, also thanked parents for their support in what has been another challenging year. In an open letter, she said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your incredible support this year. 2021 has been yet another turbulent year and even now we are facing changes and challenges due to Covid-19.

“Your support through these challenges is greatly appreciate. Our children have, as always, shown fantastic resilience, adaptability and determination.”
