A REAL treat is in store for history lovers this April from Radstock Museum's Bygone Days Talks team

In an illustrated talk entitled the ‘Brief Social History of Time, historian Richard Ellam will try to shed some light on how we became slaves to the modern clock.

Richard said: “Once upon a time, we lived by the natural cycles of daylight and moonlight.

“Nowadays, it seems like we are all slaves to the clock.

“How did this sorry state of affairs come to be, how ever did we let these pesky ticking time-lords into our lives, let alone allow them to take over?”

Entry is £5 on the door, on Tuesday, April 7, in Chilcompton Village Hall, with a prompt start at 7.30 pm.
