THIS October half term (October 25 to November 2), The Roman Baths is inviting families to explore the ‘Spooky Spider Hunt’, a new Halloween-themed trail inspired by the ancient Roman legend of Minerva and Arachne.
The interactive experience follows Arachne’s transformation into a spider after challenging Minerva, goddess of wisdom and craft, and brings the myth to life throughout the historic site.
Visitors can discover the story while viewing Minerva’s famous gilt bronze statue head, one of the museum’s most treasured finds.
Other half-term activities include Mosaic Makes, Archaeology Adventures, and a Needle Felting Workshop, alongside a Spooktacular Children’s Afternoon Tea at The Pump Room Restaurant.
