THANKS have been expressed after a generous donation was made to the Paulton Memorial Hospital.
Member of the public Terry Fisher recently donated a ‘tilt-and-space’ chair to the hospital following his own stay, as he wanted to do his bit to help provide some additional comfort for those in need.
Vicki Smith from the HCRG Care Group said: “On behalf of the staff and patients at Paulton Memorial Hospital, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to [Terry] who recently made a wonderfully generous donation of a tilt-and-space chair to the hospital.”
The team were overjoyed and expressed their thanks to Terry for his generous donation which they say will go a long way to improving the stay of those in hospital with reduced mobility.
Vicki said: “This specialised chair will make a significant difference to the comfort and wellbeing of many individuals in our care, particularly those with reduced mobility or complex postural needs.
“Its thoughtful design allows patients to sit comfortably and safely for longer periods, and it will be an invaluable resource on our wards for years to come.”
The staff said that it is acts like these that help to strengthen community bonds and remind the team that their work is appreciated during a difficult time for NHS services.
Vicki added: “We are deeply touched by this act of kindness and by the donor’s wish to support the hospital following their own stay with us. Gestures like this strengthen our community and remind us of the positive impact that compassionate individuals can have on local healthcare services.
“To our generous donor, Terry Fisher — thank you. Your gift will enhance the care we are able to provide, and it is appreciated more than words can say.”
